Denial-of-Service (DoS) Attack

What is DoS Attack?

To prevent intended users from using a computer or network, a denial-of-service attack blocks access to it. In this assault, a computer shuts down the victim's computer by flooding it with traffic. A Dos attack is a cyberattack that targets a website and aims to prevent visitors from accessing it. A successful DoS attack on a decentralized network is far more challenging. DoS attacks often rely on the centralized structure of conventional networks, whereas blockchain-based networks cannot use this strategy. Attackers send phony proofs that they have a mining advantage to the blockchain to halt the mining process. This deters additional miners from carrying out tasks required for transaction validation, effectively reducing the blockchain's processing speed.
