IP Addresses

What is IP Address?

Devices linked to the internet or a local network are given unique numeric addresses called IP addresses. IP, or "internet protocol," refers to the collection of rules and regulations that govern data exchange between devices across a local network or the internet.

On-chain security and maintaining privacy are the key issues when using digital currency. Without on-chain protection, disclosing private information on an exchange or address may expose your name and personal data to the whole public. Decoupling your IP address from your identity when using cryptocurrency is a secondary component to on-chain privacy in terms of security, which is about data leakage.

Being identified as a crypto trader might put you in danger, especially in authoritarian states, therefore IP privacy is crucial in these situations. Stay away from such crypto exchanges that lack on-chain security measures and refrain from giving your personal information to them.
